Good Things Are Happening

Bill co-wrote "Good Things Are Happening" on a songwriting trip to Nashville.  Good Morning America adopted it as a theme song for 3 1/2 years and Bill appeared on camera in several versions of the commercial, along with various montages of the show's anchors, correspondents and guests.  Throughout the time it was used, GMA viewers sent in their own video renditions and several guests played portions of the song on the show -- even Yo Yo Ma got in on the action!

A.He's Bill Deasy, a Pittsburgh-based musician who caught the attention of ABC producers when they heard a demo tape of "Good Things Are Happening."  The tune has become so popular that viewers submit videos of their own renditions.  Deasy has opened for Bob Dylan and John Mellencamp and is working on a CD.
